Cole: March 2011 & March 2012

We talk a lot about the Jackson Center and how wonderful they are for Cole and our whole family. Most of the time we report on small improvements or subtle differences in Cole's fine and gross motor skills. But I was looking through older pictures and found one of Cole from March of 2011 and then another from March of 2012. HUGE difference. March 2011. Crying. Chest harness. Handlebars low. Slumped shoulders. Matt helping Cole make every movement.

March 2012. Confident. No tears. No chest harness. Handlebars much higher (he is getting so tall). Standing tall with great posture and strength. Heather guiding Cole's feet as he initiates each step.

Spring came early this year

Our weather has been extraordinary this entire winter and spring. We've had record highs and over 10 days in the 80's already. Every chance we get we are outside and having a ball.

Shiloh loves Frisbee and showing off his skills!

Gavin and his beloved John Deere tractor.

Cole enjoying and getting much better at purposefully driving his "choo choo" chair.

Gavin on the slide.

Lovin' our swing set!

Crazy Hair for Gavin: 2/17/2012

Gavin hates having "crazy hair". He likes it straight and tells everyone about it. This morning he had classic bed head and wasn't afraid to show it.

NFL Experience and the Superbowl: Feb. 2012

We packed up the troops to be a part of the Superbowl and went downtown Indy to the NFL experience. The experience was fun, but very crowded. The boys were a little young to really participate and each game had at least a 30 minute wait. But we had a good time and the week prior to the Superbowl was fantastic. Indy did a GREAT job hosting and we hope to get it again.

This picture was taken about 5 minutes after arriving.
Things were beginning well, don't you think?

Ladderback: Jan. 2012

The ladderback in one of the most important pieces of "equipment" in Conductive Education. We were lucky enough to have one made for Cole by the ever handy Thomson's. Rob, Stephanie and Caroline made this for Cole. Watching TV
